First '67 Get Together of 2019: June 26, 2019 at the Niantic Bay Yacht Club!

Our first event of 2019 is in the books! Perfect weather, great food, and lively bunch of folks! We had a few last minute cancellations, so the group was smaller than planned, but we were happy to be joined by some new faces: Welcome Kathy Locarno and Rochele Noel-Gray! The smaller size group allowed us to gather together around a large table, and I hope our boisterousness didn't scare anyone away! All good fun! We need to work on our camera technique: photos always seem to be an afterthought, and somehow Rochele managed to evade the the individual shots. But at least we got her in the group photo! And that meant that two of the Four '67 Twins were represented that day! ;) And the Vormbrocks were represented at the Reunion itself, but we are still working on the Cicchettos! ;) 

We were able to recruit a NBYC staff to do our group pic, and she made sure that we would have at least one good one!  And Special Thanks to Joe Turner for hosting us at such a beautiful venue! 

Our next Get Together is planned for: Saturday July 20, 2019. Late afternoon, early evening. Details: TBD. We hope you will mark your calendars and plan to come. We already have confirmations from some attendees. we will be announcing the details shortly: it will be a late afternoon/early evening event at a venue that DEFINITELY bring back some fond memories! Mark my word, and stay tuned!

June 26 Get Together Announced!

Your intrepid '67 Reunion Committee met yesterday to decide on details of the upcoming Summer 2019 Get Togethers, and we are pleased to announce the following:

Date: Wednesday, June 26, 2019
Time 12:30pm

Place: Niantic Bay Yacht Club, 8 Shore Road, Niantic CT 06357

What: Lunch available for purchase (casual beach-type food, burgers BLTs soft drinks, etc). Sun, sand, surf and socializing. Indoor and outdoor seating, and a small beach. Rain or shine. Dress: as casual as you wish.

BYOB, if you wish.

Summer 2019: SBHS '67 Save The Date Get Togethers!

Hi All, 

We have been out of circulation for a bit, but... now that winter is over --- a few more snow storms notwithstanding ----we are back!

Get out your calendars and a pencil:  we have set up some dates for informal Get Togethers/Meet Ups this summer.  These are informal, come-if-you-can-make-it affairs.

1)  Wednesday, June 26, 2019  Daytime, Lunch.  Details re: venue, time, etc.  TBD.

2)  Saturday July 20, 2019.  Late afternoon, early evening.  Details:  TBD.

3)  Friday, August 23, 2019.  Details:  TBD.

Again, we are looking to do these as informal meetups.  We are announcing a variety of dates in advance, in the hope that you can include us as you make your summer travel plans. We know that everyone can't make all of them, but we are hopeful that many of you will make at least one of them! 

If your plans to be in the area are already set and the dates above do not work, please shoot me an email.  We can always add another date.... cuz we WANT to see you!  And besides, one thing we have learned over the past couple of years:  the Reunion Planning Committee is ALWAYS looking for another excuse to have a party!  Trust me on that!  ;)

Hi All!

Remember cruising State Street after school back in 1967?  Well, it is a lot quieter today than it was then, but here is your chance to see it again!  We hope that you will come join us for a some SBHS Memories and some Holiday Cheer (including Happy Hour drinks and menu until 6, regular menu after that) at the new Dev's Bistro on State Street!

Save-the Date Holiday Get-Together December 28, 2018!

Hi All,

The Holidays are once again upon us. Given that some classmates may be in town for the occasion, we are hosting an informal Get Together for the SBHS Class of 1967. Date: December 28, 2018. Time and Location TBA. We are working on a venue that will allow us the space to socialize with seasonal libations, and one that will also allow an option for dinner or appetizers for anyone interested. We are keeping it simple! 

We realize that many folks won't be able to make it due to the short notice and the distance, but we wanted to let you know that we are keeping the Spirit alive, and this get-together will also give us an opportunity to make some of the long-range plans that we have mentioned previously regarding Get-Together events NEXT SUMMER. We will have those 'Save-The-Date' announcements coming out soon, so stay tuned! 

If you are around and if you are interested in joining us for some Holiday Cheer, please pencil us in on your calendar for December 28, and keep an eye on your email! More details will be coming soon!
