Tonight we held a Post-Reunion followup Committee meeting/Party to review the reunion and, well, celebrate a little! We also had the privilege of having Tom Dyer present among us! Tom's name was not on our original list from the SBHS Alumni Office, so he never got an Invitation! Sheesh! Thanks to the ever-alert Faith Asselin for helping us get that sorted out, and we were pleased that Tom could attend tonight's meeting as our Special Guest.
We met at the Main Street Grille in Niantic and, once again, cranked through a 2 page agenda and then.... let the good times roll! Here are a couple of preliminary pics, thanks to Joe Turner, once again! Hopefully, more pics to come! On the serious side, the Committee decided to use any excess Reunion funds for a scholarship to SBHS in the name of Father John T. Scully, details TBD. There was also discussion about the possibility of making this an on-going, sustaining scholarship, as opposed to a one-time phenomenon, which would require further, future fundraising to sustain it. The Committee further agreed, based on the amazingly positive response to this Reunion, to reconvene after the New Year to discuss plans for future get-togethers/Reunions. And I would be remiss if I failed to mention that we really had a great time together ----once again--- tonight! It keeps happening! Main Street Grille was scheduled to close at 9 tonight, but we were still in there at 9:30! Amazing energy and fun! I want you to know that I love these folks without reservation!
